I’m sure someone has told you before that “success isn’t everything”. But understandably, what they probably mean is “money isn’t everything” however, when it comes to success I would make the strong argument that success IS everything. I mean, let’s face it – you need to succeed to survive. But you also need to succeed to flourish in every part of your life. Ask yourself this question: if you could do better would you? I mean, I’m certain the majority of people answer in the affirmative. After all, why wouldn’t you?
Success is not just a destination that is set for everybody to try and go for. As Zig Ziglar said, “improving in every area of your life to see if you can’t say with satisfaction at the end of the day, week, month and year, ‘I have made excellent progress this year, for myself, for my family, for my business, my career and my health.’” This is the type of success I believe everyone should strive for. It’s the type of success everyone recognizes, while at times it may not be easy, it’s most certainly always worth it.
As the saying goes:
“Success is nothing more than a few simple disciplines, practiced every day; while failure is simply a few errors in judgment, repeated every day. It is the accumulative weight of our disciplines and our judgments that leads us to either fortune or failure.”
Like anything however, success s starts with – the start. You have to start somewhere, but it’s important to understand that the mere acting of JUST STARTING is an important one.
For example, today is the day you could pick up the phone and forgive that person who, you know in your heart, needs to be forgiven.
Today is the day you could start getting into world-class health.
Today is the day you could pull out your journal and reflect on what’s not working for you in your life.
Today is the day you could articulate a new set of personal standards.
Today is the day you could decide to be a world-class learner.
I believe that your days are your life in miniature. As you live your days, so you craft your life. Ultimately, time management leads to life mastery.
Here at VSN we always work with our affiliates to understand what the daily disciplines are that they should be practicing every-day. If you’d like to find out more about our company, click here.
